Ultrafiltration (UF) uses hollow-fibre PVDF membranes with 0.03µm pore size to physically remove suspended solids, colloidal particles, bacteria, protozoa and viruses from water. Unlike coagulation-filtration, UF requires no chemicals and produces consistent, turbidity-free permeate regardless of raw water quality fluctuations.
UF is widely used as RO pre-treatment (replacing multimedia + cartridge filters), tertiary treatment of STP/ETP effluent for reuse, and as a standalone system for potable water from surface water sources. Our UF skids are fully automated with air-scour backwash, CIP provision and online flux/TMP monitoring.
0.02–0.1µm PVDF or PES hollow fibre. Inside-out or outside-in flow. Chemical resistant, high mechanical strength. TMP monitored.
100 LPH – 10 MLDTimed air-scour + permeate backwash every 30–45 min. Fully PLC automated. Recovers flux without manual intervention.
All UF SystemsChemical-in-place cleaning using NaOH, HCl or sodium hypochlorite. Scheduled quarterly. Extends membrane life to 5–7 years.
All UF SystemsTMP (trans-membrane pressure), flow, turbidity. GSM alarms on membrane breach. Remote monitoring via SCADA.
All UF Systems99.9999% bacteria, 99.99% virus removal. WHO compliant for drinking water. No chemical disinfection required for most applications.
All SystemsFactory-assembled skid including feed pump, membrane modules, backwash system, valves, instrumentation. Plug-and-play.
